Ernest Nuamah is back with Lyon after 391 days
A rousing tribute was paid to the Ghanaian at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
Ernest Nuamah had not played for 13 months. The Ghanaian international had suffered a serious knee injury. This had kept him sidelined and caused him to miss 54 matches.
However, that period is now a thing of the past. Ernest Nuamah returned to action on Sunday 3 May during the home match against Rennes on matchday 32 of the French league. The Ghanaian striker came on in the 84th minute to replace Endrick.
For this eagerly awaited return, Lyon fans gave him a warm welcome. He received a standing ovation at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
This return is good news for Ghana, which is preparing for the World Cup scheduled for this summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Ernest Nuamah could be called up for the trip to America.
