The England national team has run into yet another setback during their stay in the United States. On the evening of June 13, players and staff were advised to immediately seek shelter indoors after a tornado warning was issued in the Kansas City area, reports The Athletic.
Every member of the English delegation received automatic alerts on their mobile phones, warning of severe thunderstorms and the potential threat of a tornado. As a result, the team was forced to remain temporarily in safe indoor locations until weather conditions improved.
Remarkably, this is far from the first incident the England squad has encountered on their American tour. Previously, there were reports of a shooting near the team’s base, the players felt the effects of an earthquake, and they were also victims of a robbery.
