After conceding a goal in the 20th minute, the Egyptian national team threw everything forward in search of an equalizer. As a result, Egypt managed to fire a staggering 35 shots at Zimbabwe's goal — the most in a single AFCON match since tournament statistics began being tracked in 2010.
Out of those 35 shots, 11 were on target, which ultimately paid off as Egypt clinched victory thanks to goals from Salah and Marmoush.
At the moment, Egypt shares the top spot in Group B with South Africa, who they will face on December 26.
