Salah's impact on the Egypt national team is truly immense.
Details: In yesterday's Group B opener at the AFCON tournament, Egypt defeated Zimbabwe thanks to goals from Marmoush and Mohamed Salah. However, Salah not only clinched victory for his country in the dying moments, but also etched his name into the annals of Egyptian football history.

What makes this even more remarkable is that Salah's 92nd-minute strike made him the first Egyptian ever to score in five editions of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Before Salah, no Egyptian player had ever achieved this feat.
After the first round, Egypt shares the top spot in Group B with South Africa. On December 26, these two teams will go head-to-head in a match that promises to be decisive for both sides in the group stage.
