Could miss El Clásico? Mbappé’s potential absence due to injury revealed

Kylian Mbappé suffered a left-knee injury in France’s match against Turkey (1-0) and now risks missing El Clásico against Barcelona, which will be played on October 25. The French forward is set to undergo additional medical tests at Valdebebas, reports El Español.

Mbappé scored the only goal of the match in the 54th minute, but immediately felt pain after taking the shot. The forward tried to continue, but was soon substituted. After the match, France head coach Zinedine Zidane admitted that the situation was concerning and that the team had no intention of risking the player’s health.

The French Football Federation reported a tendon injury and confirmed that Mbappé would leave the national team camp and return to Madrid for treatment. The exact recovery timeline remains unknown. Preliminary estimates suggest that similar injuries can require between three and eight weeks.

What particularly concerns Real Madrid is that Mbappé already experienced problems with his left knee last season. Because of the injury, he missed matches and was forced to take extended breaks from training.
