This has to be seen! Mbappé scored a bizarre goal against Barcelona. VIDEO
Kylian Mbappé once again showcased his goalscoring prowess in one of the biggest matches in European football. The French forward opened the scoring in El Clásico against Barcelona in the 10th round of the Spanish league, putting Real Madrid ahead shortly before half-time.
Madrid’s goal came in the 41st minute. Real Madrid quickly switched play from one flank to the other before sending a pass into the penalty area. A defender attempted to clear the ball, but it struck Mbappé and ricocheted into the net.
The goal was a special one for the French striker. According to Marca, it was Mbappé’s 99th goal for Real Madrid. Kylian is now just one strike away from reaching the milestone of 100 goals for the Madrid club.
Barcelona could have hit back almost immediately, however: after a tussle involving Fermín López, the ball fell to Lamine Yamal, but he fired wide from a promising position. As a result, Mbappé’s goal proved to be the key moment of a tense first half in El Clásico.
