CONCACAF has launched disciplinary proceedings against the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) and head coach Jesse Marsch following alleged misconduct during Canada’s Gold Cup match against Honduras on June 17, the confederation announced Wednesday from its headquarters in Miami.

The Disciplinary Committee will examine whether the CSA and Marsch violated regulations involving suspended match officials and allegedly used offensive language toward Concacaf referees. The findings will be based on official reports filed after the match.

Marsch is already serving a two-match suspension for previous misconduct during the 2025 Concacaf Nations League Finals. The ongoing probe will determine if further disciplinary action is warranted following the events in the group stage clash with Honduras.

“All available evidence will be reviewed,” Concacaf stated, without providing a timeline for the investigation’s outcome. Further updates are expected in due course.
