The Copa America continues in the USA. Last night, two matches took place in Group D for the second round of the group stage.

First on the field were the national teams of Colombia and Costa Rica. In the first half, Costa Rican goalkeeper Patrick Sequeira made a poor play on a cross, fouling an opponent and conceding a penalty, which Liverpool striker Luis Díaz successfully converted. In the second half, Colombia continued to press their opponents, yielding further results. After a corner kick, Galatasaray defender Davinson Sánchez scored with a precise header. A few minutes later, James Rodríguez provided a pinpoint pass to John Córdoba, who didn't miss the opportunity to make the score emphatic.

The second match of the day featured Paraguay and Brazil. In the first half, Seleção earned a penalty, but West Ham midfielder Lucas Paquetá missed. However, he soon redeemed himself by assisting Vinícius, who opened the scoring. Minutes later, Girona winger Savio capitalized on a loose ball in the penalty area to double Brazil's lead. Vinícius then netted again, taking advantage of a defensive error to make it 3-0 by halftime.

Early in the second half, Getafe defender Omar Alderete struck a stunning 25-meter shot into the corner of Alisson’s goal. Yet soon after, Paquetá took another penalty and this time made no mistake, restoring Brazil's three-goal lead. Towards the end of the match, Adrián Cubas was sent off after an altercation with the referee.
