On the night of Monday, July 1, the third round matches in Group B of Copa America took place. Mexico played against Ecuador, and Venezuela faced Jamaica.

Eduard Bello scored the first goal in the 49th minute, and seven minutes later, Rondon made it 2-0. Eric Ramirez sealed the win in the 85th minute, bringing the final score to 3-0.
As a result, the group standings are as follows. Venezuela, with nine points, advances to the playoffs from the first place. Ecuador and Mexico both have four points, but Ecuador has a better goal difference, thus securing their place in the quarterfinals. Mexico and Jamaica are eliminated from the tournament.
