Chelsea is aiming to lure away another player from Manchester City

After acquiring Cole Palmer, Chelsea has set its sights on another Manchester City player. Argentine forward Julian Alvarez is not considered a key player for the team, which could push him towards a club change.

Despite having played numerous matches for the club, the World Cup champion with the Argentine national team has been unable to displace Erling Haaland from the starting lineup. Consequently, the upcoming summer transfer window may pose a period of trials for City in terms of retaining the player.

Previously, other clubs had not shown interest in Alvarez due to the high cost of his buyout clause, but the situation may change soon. London-based Chelsea is preparing to join the fray and is expected to present its first offer for Alvarez to City. It is anticipated that City will consider offers approaching €90 million.
