Cameroon’s official line-up against Ivory Coast revealed

The Indomitable Lions are in Abidjan to face the Elephants in an international friendly this Saturday, 3 October, at the Ebimpe Olympic Stadium.

Kick-off for this eagerly awaited fixture is at 7 pm GMT. David Pagou’s side face Hervé Renard’s team once again, a few months after their last meeting (1–1) in the group stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which was held in Morocco.

However, the Indomitable Lions arrive in Ebimpe with a historical advantage. Of the 19 head-to-head matches since 1970, Cameroon have won nine times, whilst Ivory Coast have won six times and four matches have ended in a draw.

However, unlike Hervé Renard’s side, David’s team did not achieve a 100% record in the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The Indomitable Lions secured one win and one draw.

For the match against Ivory Coast, David Pagou made a slight change to his starting XI. Simon Ngapandouetnbu replaces Blondy Nna Noukeu in goal, whilst Harouna Djibirin and Bil Nsongo start the match.
