CAF Confederation Cup: ‘We are disappointed to miss out on the quarter-finals,’ says San Pedro goalkeeper Kouassi Landry Ulrich
The Ivorian club will be playing for pride against USM Alger on Sunday 8 February in the fifth round of the group stage.
FC San Pedro has no future in the 2025-26 CAF Confederation Cup, even before the last two rounds of the group stage. The Ivorians host the Algerians at the Laurent Pokou Stadium at 4 pm GMT.
Two successive defeats against OC Safi in the third and fourth rounds sealed San Pedro's fate in Group A. This is a disappointment for Kouassi Landry Ulrich, the Ivorian club's goalkeeper, who nevertheless believes that their run has been a great experience.
"Reaching the group stage has been a great experience for the whole team. We are disappointed to miss out on the quarter-finals but happy with the experience we have gained for our progress. I was absent for a few months but I think all the other players did the job," said Kouassi Landry Ulrich.
