The Yellow and Blacks returned to Côte d’Ivoire on Monday evening, the day after their unexpected 1–1 draw against MAS Fez in Morocco, in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the 2026–2027 CAF Champions League.
The Ivorian club’s delegation returned to Abidjan following their trip to Meknes, where they faced MAS Fez on Sunday 18 October. At the end of a hard-fought encounter, Julien Chevalier’s side secured a valuable 1-1 draw, putting them in a strong position ahead of the home leg.
Back in Abidjan, the reigning Ivorian Ligue 1 champions will now prepare for the second leg, scheduled for Sunday 25 October at the Félix-Houphouët-Boigny Stadium. In front of their home crowd, the Yellow and Blacks will have the chance to make the difference and secure their place in the opening round of the competition.
ASEC Mimosas will be looking to build on this away result and secure their place in the group stage of the 2026–2027 CAF Champions League. The second leg will kick off at 4 pm GMT.
