CAF adjusts the schedule for the Champions League final
A slight change has been made just a few weeks before kick-off.
The first leg will no longer be played on the original date. The governing body of African football has decided to postpone the first leg of the final, which is to be held in South Africa, by two days.
Originally scheduled for 15 May 2026 in Pretoria, the first leg of the two-legged 2025–2026 Champions League final will now be played on 17 May. This change follows a request from Mamelodi Sundowns. Instead of Friday, the first leg will be played on Sunday.
However, the date of the second leg remains unchanged. It is still scheduled for 24 May in Rabat, Morocco. It should be noted that the 2025–2026 CAF Champions League final will see Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa) take on AS FAR (Morocco).
