Brahim Diaz Sets AFCON Record in Morocco’s Quarter-Final Win Over Cameroon

Morocco star Brahim Diaz etched his name into the history books after playing a key role in the Atlas Lions’ 2-0 quarter-final victory over Cameroon on Friday, a result that kept the hosts’ AFCON 2025 title hopes firmly on track.

The Real Madrid winger became the first player to score in each of his first five AFCON appearances and only the second player to score against five different opponents in a single tournament.

Diaz also currently leads the race for the AFCON 2025 Golden Boot, as Morocco maintain their push toward continental glory. The Atlas Lions now advance to the semi-finals, where they will face either Algeria or Nigeria.
