Bernard parker confirms midfielder Seluleko Mahlambi suffered an ankle injury against Mamelodi Sundowns last night
Bernard Parker, TS Galaxy interim coach, has confirmed influential winder Seluleko Mahlambi suffered an ankle injury in last night's 3-2 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mahlambi was a thorn in the flesh for Sundowns last night as he ran like a man possessed with his darting runs and efficient play but went off the field with discomfort after the game.
His incisive run saw him win a penalty for his team seven minutes into the Betway Premiership match at Mbombela Stadium in the 3-2 victory.
“The medical team says he’s got a ankle injury,” said Parker in his post match analysis.
“Maybe he twisted it or he got a knock.
“He’s a strong lad. I wish him a speedy recovery, and I know he will recover in time because we’re only gonna have our next fixture after 10 days.”
Galaxy will face Golden Arrows away from home in their last PSL match on the May 23, where Parker hopes the youngster will be fit.
