The legendary Polish national team player and Barcelona striker, Robert Lewandowski, will definitely miss the first match of Euro 2024 against the Netherlands.
“We are doing everything possible for Robert to play in the second game against Austria,” stated the Polish national team's doctor, Jacek Jaroszewski.
The Poland vs. Netherlands match is scheduled for June 16, while the match against Austria will take place on June 21.
It should be noted that Lewandowski sustained his injury during yesterday’s friendly match against Turkey, which ended 2-1.
In 150 matches for the Polish national team, Lewandowski has scored 82 goals, the highest tally in its history.
