The Premier League clash against Brighton turned into a real disaster for Liverpool striker Hugo Ekitike.
Details: Liverpool’s French forward Hugo Ekitike was forced off the pitch just seven minutes after the opening whistle. The incident looked extremely painful: the player collapsed to the turf and was unable to continue, leaving the field in tears under the watchful eye of the medical staff.
The striker’s condition, as he made his way down the tunnel in utter despair, is causing serious concern.
Ekitike’s injury is a massive blow not only for the club but also for the French national team, as the severity of the injury means he could now miss out on the 2026 World Cup.
