AS FAR appeals to CAF regarding Jean-Jacques Ndala
The Moroccan club has raised concerns
The Congolese referee has been appointed to officiate the first leg of the Champions League final.
The controversy has grown following the selection of Jean-Jacques Ndala for this first leg, scheduled for 17 May. However, Morocco’s AS FAR, who will face Mamelodi Sundowns in the final, has raised the matter with the Confederation of African Football regarding the Congolese referee’s appointment.
The Moroccan club cited the controversial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, which was refereed by Jean-Jacques Ndala and contested by Morocco and Senegal. AS FAR is simply asking for Jean-Jacques Ndala to be replaced.
Sources suggest, however, that a CAF meeting is scheduled to discuss the matter.
