Manchester United legend Gabriel Heinze has been offered a role in Arsenal's coaching staff.

According to 90min, Arsenal's head coach Mikel Arteta is keen to collaborate with the renowned former defender. However, Heinze is not rushing to accept Arteta's invitation, as he has several other job offers to consider.

The 45-year-old Heinze has previously managed five different clubs, most recently leading Newell's Old Boys until 2023. He has also coached Godoy Cruz, Argentinos Juniors, Velez Sarsfield, and Atlanta United.

Heinze gained prominence as a player during his time at Manchester United, PSG, and Real Madrid. He also earned 73 caps for the Argentina national team.

Earlier reports indicated that Arsenal is looking to strengthen the left side of their defense in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Following their defeat to Aston Villa, Arsenal relinquished the top spot in the Premier League to Manchester City. Arsenal will face Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday, April 17.
