Arteta has expressed his thoughts on winter transfers for Arsenal
Arsenal's head coach Mikel Arteta responded to journalists' inquiries about potential winter acquisitions in the transfer window.
There have been reports indicating that the Spanish manager aims to secure four new players during the winter: two defenders, a midfielder, and a forward.
“We have certain targets and ideas. We don’t know how the squad is going to look in two weeks time…It’s a very tricky market that shifts quite quickly.
Focus on the next games. Then we will have a break to assess and see for the January window” Arteta said.
Earlier information suggested Arsenal's interest in a star from Aston Villa, but negotiations with the Birmingham-based club might prove challenging. The Gunners are also linked with Inacio Goncalo from Sporting Lisbon and his teammate, forward Victor Gyökeres.
Currently occupying the second position in the Premier League standings, Arsenal trails Liverpool by two points but has a game in hand. The Gunners could reclaim the top spot if they secure a victory against West Ham on December 28th.
