Arne Slot commented on the negotiations between Liverpool and Feyenoord

Feyenoord head coach Arne Slot commented on the interest from Liverpool regarding his services.

The coach confirmed that he wants to take charge of the Merseyside club, and negotiations are currently ongoing between the parties.

"I would like to become the new coach of Liverpool, my decision is clear. Feyenoord and Liverpool are negotiating, and I am waiting to see what comes of it. I am confident, waiting until the clubs reach an agreement," Slot told ESPN.

Earlier reports indicated that Feyenoord rejected Liverpool's initial offer for Slot.

Previously, Sporting's head coach Ruben Amorim was considered the frontrunner for the Liverpool head coach position, but in recent days, the club decided against this option.

Under Slot's leadership this season, Feyenoord won the KNVB Cup, and in the previous season, they triumphed in the Eredivisie.
