Eddie Hearn, the promoter for former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, doesn't consider a bout between AJ and Deontay Wilder as currently more relevant.

It is worth recalling that Wilder lost to Joseph Parker on points on December 23 in a boxing event in Saudi Arabia. Joshua confidently won his fight against Otto Wallin. If both boxers had won their respective fights, they were supposed to fight each other on March 9.

“The fight’s dead for now. The people who have wanted the fight no longer see it the same way. The numbers don't work right now because all of Wilder's cards are currently beaten. In my opinion, this is a discrepancy", Hearn told IFL TV.

Wilder still aims to face Joshua and believes that the Briton is avoiding a bout with him.

Earlier, Hearn hinted at who he sees as a potential next opponent for Joshua. Discussions are ongoing within Joshua's camp about planning the next four or five fights.
