Algeria produced another commanding performance to defeat Equatorial Guinea 3-1 in Rabat on the final match day of the 2025 AFCON group-stage matches, becoming the second team after Nigeria to win all three games.
Coach Vladimir Petkovic rested captain Riyad Mahrez among nine changes, but Anis Hadj Moussa dazzled on the right, winning loud support from travelling fans. His corner set up Zineddine Belaid’s opener, before Fares Chaibi struck from inside the box. Moussa later crossed for Ibrahim Maza to head a third. Emilio Nsue’s long-range goal reduced the deficit.
Algeria now face DR Congo next in Rabat on Tuesday evening.
