Personnel changes for the winter transfer window remain a hot topic at Real Madrid. Amid rumors of Galatasaray's interest in Antonio Rüdiger, the club has made it clear: there are no plans to part ways with the German defender. In fact, Madrid is even considering extending his contract, given the ongoing instability in their back line.
However, after failing to make headway in talks for Rüdiger, the Turkish club has shifted its focus to David Alaba. According to Defensa Central, Los Blancos' management is open to letting the Austrian go as early as January—even up to terminating his contract and granting him free agent status.
As for Alaba himself, he currently has no burning desire to leave the Bernabéu. Last summer, he was already offered an early contract termination with compensation for half of his salary for the final year, but the defender opted to stay, aiming for more playing time and to retain his full wage despite fierce competition for a spot in the lineup.
