Kylian Mbappé has faced yet another setback in his legal battle with Paris Saint-Germain, in which he is demanding €55 million in unpaid wages and bonuses. The Paris Court of Appeal has rejected his request to reinstate PSG’s frozen accounts.
PSG’s assets were first frozen at Mbappé’s request in May, but a lower court later overturned the decision. The player’s lawyers attempted to use this mechanism again, but each appeal has consistently ended in defeat for Mbappé.
It’s worth recalling that Mbappé’s contract with the Parisian club was terminated over a year ago, after the player refused to extend his deal and soon moved to Real Madrid.
The case remains unresolved: on December 16, both parties will meet in the Labor Court, where further claims from Mbappé and PSG for compensation will be considered. The player is demanding €263 million, while the Parisian club is seeking €240 million for damages caused by the proceedings.
