Al Ahly Draws the Line on Ramy Rabia Contract Talks

Al Ahly SC has made a final decision on the contract situation of veteran defender Rami Rabia, as club president Mahmoud Khatib has reportedly refused to improve the existing offer, according to Btolat.
A source close to the club revealed that Khatib has stepped in personally and ordered the board to stick to the last proposal—a two-year extension worth EGP 56 million total.
“If Rabia wants to stay, he must accept and sign this offer. Otherwise, he will leave at the end of the season,” the source stated firmly.
Salary Dispute Continues
Rabia had earlier rejected the initial offer, demanding EGP 40 million for the first season and EGP 45 million for the second—figures significantly higher than the club’s proposal. Despite ongoing negotiations, Al Ahly’s stance is now clear: no improved deal will be tabled.
