Aigle Royal pulled off a great result against Unisport in the opening game of the 2025-26 Cameroon Elite One season. The visitors secured a valuable victory at Unisport's home ground, the municipal stadium in Bafang, on the afternoon of Saturday 24 January 2026.
The suspense lasted a long time with a goalless first half. It wasn't until after the break that the first goal was scored. It came in the 75th minute from Eden Ymele, putting Aigle Royal ahead of the home side (0-1).
The Cameroonian striker scored twice in stoppage time. Eden Ymele doubled the lead in the 93rd minute (0-2) for the Elpachas. It was a great start for newly promoted Aigle Royal in Cameroon's Elite One.
