Following the surprise resignation of Portuguese coach José Gomes and his whole foreign staff, Zamalek SC has undergone considerable adjustments. Gomes made a number of significant contributions during his brief but significant time with the team before opting to depart.

Ahmed Magdy was named the senior football team's interim coach by the Zamalek management in reaction to these abrupt changes. Magdy will get the team ready for their next CAF Confederation Cup matchup against Al-Masry. The current coaching staff, which consists of goalkeeper coach Emad El-Mandouh and general coach Hazem Emam, will assist him.

A club insider said that Croatian fitness coach Mario Tomiljanovic and performance analyst Mohamed Alaa will stay with the team despite Gomes and his assistants leaving because they still have contracts with the organization.

Gomes' departure was allegedly prompted by a generous offer from Al-Fateh, a Saudi Arabian club, who supposedly paid him three times as much as he did at Zamalek. The club's management now intends to start looking for a new head coach with a wealth of expertise in order to carry on Zamalek's quest for both national and international recognition.
