Following the announcement by Portuguese manager Jose Gomes that he was stepping down on Tuesday, Zamalek SC is now searching for a new head coach. Gomes decided to leave his position early and paid the full amount required to end his contract.Following his outstanding leadership of the squad to wins in the CAF Super Cup and the CAF Confederation Cup, this decision was made. Fans are startled by his sudden departure.

According to a source within the club, five foreign coaches have been proposed by agents as potential replacements. These include Rogerio Micale, Egypt’s U20 national team coach; Hector Cuper and Carlos Queiroz, both former Egypt senior team managers; Jose Peseiro, who previously managed Al-Ahly; and Patrice Carteron, who had two stints as Zamalek’s head coach.

According to reports, the team is eager to hire a coach like Gomes who has a strong personality, can demand respect, and can keep the players in a cheerful mood.Carlos Queiroz is a standout prospect, but his recent emphasis on coaching national teams rather than clubs raises questions.

Ahmed Magdy will serve as the team's interim coach for their forthcoming CAF Confederation Cup encounter against Al-Masry; the appointment of a new coach is anticipated shortly.

Zamalek is presently in second place in the Egyptian Premier League with nine points and leads its Confederation Cup group with four points.
