The former France and Real Madrid icon watched from the stands at Moulay El Hassan Stadium, visibly proud as Luca stepped onto the pitch to represent Algeria on the continental stage. It was a memorable night for the Zidane family as football legacy met a new chapter.
At 27, Luca Zidane marked an important milestone in his international career by making his Africa Cup of Nations debut. The goalkeeper has so far earned three caps for Algeria after switching allegiance, having previously represented France during his youth career.
