The Super Eagles of Nigeria booked their place in the AFCON 2025 semi-finals with a solid 2–0 win over Algeria at the Grand Stade de Marrakech.

After a goalless first half dominated by Nigeria, Victor Osimhen broke the deadlock just two minutes into the second half with a powerful header. The Super Eagles doubled their lead soon after as Akor Adams finished a flowing team move, following a selfless assist from Osimhen after a brilliant pass by Alex Iwobi.

The victory marks Nigeria’s 16th AFCON semi-final appearance and sets up a blockbuster clash against host nation Morocco, as the Super Eagles continue their push for continental glory.
