AFCON 2025: Sacked Marc Brys Reveals “I Have Not Received My Plane Tickets” Ahead of AFCON 2025
Former Cameroon head coach Marc Brys has spoken out about the confusion surrounding his dismissal, revealing that he has not received travel arrangements to join the team for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
Brys was reportedly relieved of his duties following the re-election of Samuel Eto’o as president of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT). Despite this, the Belgian coach claims that he has never been officially informed of his termination.
In an interview with Belgian media outlet DHnet, Brys explained the situation, saying:
“I sent an email to two people at the Ministry of Sports asking them to send me a plane ticket to Morocco and I haven’t received a clear answer. They’re both passing the buck. Officially, no one has told me I’m fired, neither verbally nor in writing. But since I haven’t received my plane tickets… you don’t have to be stupid to believe”
