The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed a new centre referee for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 quarter-final clash between Nigeria and Algeria.
In an update released on Friday, Senegalese referee Issa Sy will now officiate the highly anticipated encounter, which is scheduled to take place at the Grand Stade de Marrakech.
CAF had earlier named Somali official Omar Artan to take charge of the fixture, but the decision was later reversed.
