A supercomputer has named the main favorite for the Euros after the group stage

The group stage of the 2024 European Championship has concluded, and all participants for the Round of 16 have been determined. The first playoff matches will take place on Saturday, June 29.

The supercomputer Opta has calculated and identified the main favorite to win Euro 2024. According to the program, the England national team has the highest chance of claiming the European Championship title, with a probability of 20%. Spain is in second place with a 17.2% chance of winning the title. Germany rounds out the top three, with Opta giving them a 15.8% chance.

Additionally, France is among the top five favorites, with a 13.4% chance of winning their first European Championship. Portugal is in fifth place, with an 8.3% chance of securing the gold medals.

It is worth noting that before the tournament began, Opta had also named England as the main favorite to win, giving them a 19.9% chance. France was in second place with a 19.1% chance, while Germany, the host nation, was third with a 12.4% chance.
