Algeria have become the latest African nation to exit the 2026 FIFA World Cup after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Switzerland in the Round of 32.

The Desert Foxes were unable to find a way past the Swiss side, bringing their World Cup campaign to an end and increasing the number of eliminated African teams to six.

Algeria now join Senegal, DR Congo, Tunisia, South Africa, and Ivory Coast, all of whom have already been knocked out of the tournament.
