Turkish giants Fenerbahçe have officially bolstered their defensive line by signing Netherlands international defender Nathan Aké. The 31-year-old has departed Manchester City on a permanent deal, closing a six-year chapter with the English club.
According to Transfermarkt, Aké has inked a three-year contract with the Turkish vice-champions. After wrapping up his campaign with the Netherlands national team at the 2026 World Cup, the defender will join his new teammates for pre-season training in Austria.
Reports indicate that the transfer fee stands at €8.1 million, with an additional €1.75 million in performance-related bonuses. This brings the potential total value of the deal to €9.85 million, which is below the player’s estimated market value of around €12 million.
Aké joined Manchester City in the summer of 2020 from Bournemouth for €45.3 million. Over his stint with the Citizens, he featured in 177 matches across all competitions, netted 10 goals and provided three assists. Under Pep Guardiola’s management, the Dutch defender amassed 12 trophies.
