£110 million for England international: Chelsea face tough transfer condition

Chelsea are refusing to give up on their attempts to sign Bournemouth and England midfielder Alex Scott, but a January move for the Englishman has run into a serious obstacle almost immediately. Bournemouth’s hierarchy have no intention of letting one of their key players leave midway through the season and have already set their valuation of the midfielder.

The London club showed strong interest in Scott over the summer. Chelsea offered £60 million for the 23-year-old midfielder, but Bournemouth rejected the bid. The Blues believe, however, that the player is an ideal fit for the demands of head coach Xabi Alonso.

According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea plan to renew their interest in Scott during the January transfer window. The player himself is reportedly open to a move to Stamford Bridge.

However, Bournemouth have no intention of accommodating a potential buyer. Journalist Dean Jones claims that the club intend to keep Scott at least until the end of the current season and will reject offers in January.

At the same time, Bournemouth value their midfielder at around €110 million. Such a fee could force Chelsea to seriously rethink their plans. The Londoners may try to improve relations with the club and lay the groundwork for a transfer in the summer of 2027.
