One of the main transfer rumours of last summer was the move of Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi to Liverpool. As a result, the transfer failed and the media reported that the player regretted it. However, now Zubimendi himself has taken the floor, who has a slightly different opinion.
Despite Real Sociedad's difficult start to the current season and Liverpool's opposite results, the player himself does not regret the decision to refuse a move to Anfield:
‘Of course I don't regret staying. I can't think like that after four or five games at the start of the season. I made the decision internally, I thought it was better and results don't affect me. I see potential in this team, we just have to see how we train. I really want to have a good season’, - said Zubimendi at a press conference before the Europa League match with Anderlecht.
