Zesco United coach Mathews Ndhlovu still regards Kaizer Chiefs as a 'beatable' side despite losing to Amakhosi twice in the Caf Confederation Cup
Perhaps, Mathews Ndhlovu is still day dreaming.
The Zesco United coach’s post match conference after their 1-0 loss to Kaizer Chiefs and a 2-0 aggregate score over two legs has not convinced him on Amakhosi’s dominance over his side.
The two legs of the Caf Confederation Cup between the two sides is over and it’s favour Amakhosi.
Ndhlovu’s comments are of a Zesco United still to play Chiefs which is not the case.
“Yes, Chiefs are beatable, especially when you utilise your chances,” said Ndhlovu.
“But if you don’t score, Kaizer Chiefs will over-run you. We were slightly careless at the back when we started the game in Ndola, they utilised their chances and scored.
“The best way to defend is about how you manage the game. Those are the positives which we have learnt from Kaizer Chiefs, that if they score, they are capable of managing the game.
“For us now, we will make sure that we’re displaying that at the back as well as making sure we utilise the chances we create.”
This weekend Chiefs face Al Masry at home having amassed seven points so far and are third on the table of Group D standings.
