Liverpool's head coach, Jürgen Klopp, commented on yesterday's unexpected defeat of his team against Atalanta (0-3) in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals.

"It was a really bad game, oh my God... I’m here just saying congrats to Atalanta. We lost the plot a bit. Zero positives to say, we where everywhere and so also nowhere".

Atalanta secured victory in yesterday's match with a brace from striker Gianluca Scamacca and a goal from Mario Pasalic.

The second leg between Atalanta and Liverpool will take place in Bergamo next Thursday, April 18th. The winner of this tie will face the better team from the Marseille vs. Benfica pairing (first leg ended 1-2).

As a reminder, Liverpool continues to vie for the Premier League title. After 31 rounds, they are in second place and are trailing Arsenal only on additional metrics.
