On matchday 9 of La Liga, the Ivorian international stood out against Sevilla FC, playing a direct part in two of his team’s four goals as they secured a 4-1 victory.

Yan Diomande first provided the assist for Arda Güler’s goal, before scoring Madrid’s fourth goal himself in the 82nd minute. This performance has seen the Ivorian make his mark in the Spanish club’s history.

At 19 years and 338 days, Yan Diomande has become the youngest Real Madrid player of the 21st century to score a goal and provide an assist in the same La Liga match. The Ivorian winger has thus surpassed Jude Bellingham, who previously held the record at the age of 20 years and 51 days.

Having joined from Leipzig during the summer transfer window, the young Ivorian seems to be gradually finding his feet within the Madrid squad.
