The Brazil national team has announced its starting lineup for the 2026 World Cup clash against Haiti, and once again, Neymar is absent from the matchday squad.
Details: According to Marca, Carlo Ancelotti’s side will start with Vinícius, Cunha, and Raphinha leading the attack. Guimarães, Casemiro, Paquetá, Douglas Santos, Gabriel, Marquinhos, Danilo Santos, and Alisson are also in the starting eleven.
Brazil heads into the match against Haiti still searching for its first tournament victory, after drawing 1-1 with Morocco in the opening game.
Neymar’s absence has once again become a hot topic among supporters. Social media is buzzing with jokes as fans keep searching for the legendary forward on the pitch—only to spot a dog in a Brazil jersey on camera instead.
Earlier reports stated that Neymar would miss the Haiti match due to injury. As a result, Ancelotti must once again make do without one of the squad’s most talked-about stars.
Reminder: Previously, Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva joked that Neymar had become "the first remote player in the national team," as he was called up for the World Cup but is sidelined by injury.
