The first semi-final of the Club World Cup between Fluminense and Chelsea delivered plenty of excitement, but the second match between PSG and Real Madrid is equally shocking in its own way.
Details: Luis Enrique’s men not only opened the scoring at breakneck speed, but by the ninth minute had already doubled their tally. First, in the sixth minute, Fabián Ruiz capitalized on a mistake by Raúl Asensio to put PSG ahead.
Just three minutes later, Ousmane Dembélé outfoxed another Real Madrid center-back, Antonio Rüdiger, raced through one-on-one with Thibaut Courtois, and calmly slotted home PSG’s second goal. It’s a disastrous start to the match for Real Madrid.
Reminder: Chelsea also secured a 2-0 victory, but Fluminense had enough chances to at least avoid a shutout.
