“We’re not afraid of Brazil,” says Mohamed Ouahbi
Ahead of the clash between Morocco and Brazil scheduled for this 13 June at the World Cup, the manager of the Atlas Lions has highlighted his squad’s composure.
Morocco play their first match at the 2026 World Cup this Saturday, 13 June, against Brazil. But ahead of this eagerly anticipated fixture, which kicks off at 10 pm GMT, the Morocco manager spoke at a press conference.
Mohamed Ouahbi spoke about the spirit within his team ahead of this crucial match. The Atlas Lions respect the Seleçao, but do not fear them, said Mohamed Ouahbi.
“We are not afraid of Brazil. We respect them and I am sure they respect us too. My players are ready. We are Morocco. Our aim is to be better after every match.”
In the group stage of the World Cup, which will take place from 11 June to 19 July in the United States, Canada and Mexico, Morocco will face Brazil, Scotland and Haiti in Group C.
