The Elephants’ World Cup adventure has come to an end following their 2–1 defeat in the round of 32.

The Ivory Coast national team will not be continuing their campaign at the World Cup, which is being held in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The Ivorians were knocked out by Norway this 30 June in the round of 32. They lost 2–1 after a hard-fought match.

But despite this painful elimination, the Elephants’ manager remains hopeful for the future. At the end of the match, Emerse Faé assured that his team would work even harder to come back stronger.

“We’re going to keep working to come back stronger in future competitions.”
