Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen enjoyed a night at London’s Shaftesbury Theatre, where Rooney had a chance to step into the world of backstage magic. The former footballer experimented with stage makeup, transforming into a character with the help of prosthetics. Photos and videos of the fun-filled evening were shared by Coleen on her Instagram.
In the clips, Rooney can be seen donning a facial prosthetic and wig to transform into Mrs. Doubtfire, the iconic character portrayed by Robin Williams in the 1993 film. He even mimicked the character’s voice, cheerfully saying, “Hello, my dear,” in a high-pitched tone.
It seems the couple had a wonderful time during their romantic outing. With Rooney currently out of work, he’s enjoying more time with his wife and children.
The former footballer was recently dismissed from his managerial role at Plymouth due to poor results. His former team currently sits at the bottom of the Championship table, winless in their last nine matches.
