Former Plymouth Argyle manager Wayne Rooney has found himself at the center of a scandal after a video surfaced online showing him entering his apartment with a mysterious red-haired woman, reports Daily Mail. The footage quickly sparked rumors of infidelity.
Rooney has denied the allegations, posting a statement on his Instagram explaining that the circulating gossip is false. He clarified that the video was filmed last summer.
"I am aware of a video circulating online. The video shows a man and woman looking around my apartment. The couple kindly gave me a lift home and were in there at the same time as my son who was visiting. Footage is from last summer. It is annoying that at least one newspaper has chosen to edit the footage to make it appear as though a woman entered the apartment on her own. That is simply not true," Rooney wrote.

Amid his personal challenges, Rooney’s managerial career is also facing difficulties. It was officially confirmed today that he has been dismissed as Plymouth’s head coach. The club currently sits at the bottom of the Championship table.
