The striker led the Indomitable Lionesses to victory in their opening Group D match at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, currently being held in Morocco.

Marie Gisele Ngah Manga caused a sensation on Wednesday evening at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca. The 23-year-old put in a stellar performance against Mali to secure a 2-1 victory for Cameroon.

She distinguished herself with two goals scored in the 14th and 73rd minutes. A resounding brace that enabled the Indomitable Lionesses to secure three precious points ahead of their clash with Ghana next Sunday.

Her performance was also recognised with the Woman of the Match award at the end of the game. After the match, Marie Gisele Ngah Manga expressed her delight. She promised that the Indomitable Lionesses would continue to work hard to live up to the expectations of the Cameroonian people.

“I’m very happy to have scored both goals. These goals are for my team-mates and for all the Cameroonians who are behind us and supporting us. We’ll keep working hard to score even more.”
