Vincent Kompany comments on Bara Ndiaye’s first start
The young Senegalese player faced a real-life test during his first start for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
Having made his debut for FC Bayern a few days ago, Bara Ndiaye made his first start on Saturday 25 April during the 31st matchday of the German league. He started the match in a game where Bayern Munich were well behind before turning the situation around.
But despite the circumstances, Bara Ndiaye managed to hold his own. After the match, Vincent Kompany made no secret of his satisfaction with the young Senegalese player’s performance.
A match as physical as this is the toughest test there is for a young player. It really wasn’t a match for youngsters, but he needs it to learn. I thought he handled the ball quite well and kept up with the pace. As far as I’m concerned, he doesn’t have any pressure on his shoulders. It’s up to the experienced players to raise the standard. He also showed a good response in the second half. It was a solid performance in such a tough match for a young player. He can be proud.
